CHR Festival of Trees November 21, 2025 & November 22, 2025 


We are excited to announce that the Sanibel-Captiva Art League entry for FESTIVAL OF TREES “Island Masterpieces" earned $5,000 at the live auction and achieved the highest bid for CHR’s fundraiser to help them continue their vital work on the island. Our generous, talented artist members contributed over 100 hand-made ornaments and our amazing “Tree Elf” Sherry Fonseth-Lais coordinated the wonderful contributions, designed the layout, and ensured that our tree was spectacular. Thank you, Sherry!  A heartfelt thank you to our SCAL members who contributed. 


The stats:

  • 20 trees were auctioned
  • 1 tree was raffled
  • 18 wreaths auctioned 
  • The gross income for the event was 530K (net numbers were not available at the time of this printing).
  • Attendance for the three-day event was 110 for Thursday, 400 for Friday (200 were children) and 260 for Saturday!
